How do I use SalonInteractive as a Marketing Manager?

A comprehensive guide for Marketing Managers on how to effectively use SalonInteractive's eCommerce and marketing platform.

Did you receive an invitation to log into SalonInteractive from someone at your business, likely an owner or manager? If so, this invitation means they would like you to join SalonInteractive’s eCommerce and marketing platform as a Marketing Manager.

Your access provides the same features as a Stylist or Basic user but with permissions to manage marketing efforts, including On Behalf and Client Connect email marketing and uploading and managing clients within the platform.

So, what’s next? Accept the invitation and add a password.

If you haven’t already, take a few moments to explore all the features you get with your beauty business’ Online Store. Start by taking a tour. From your SalonInteractive dashboard, click the View Online Store button or the shopping cart icon in the upper right corner. Another tab will open where you can cruise through your Online Store and see everything as your clients will.

Close the store tab when you’re done and return to your SalonInteractive dashboard.

Marketing Features

As a Marketing Manager, you can access all marketing features that an Admin has selected for your Online Store. That can include On Behalf Marketing (available and free to use) and Client Connect email marketing (part of the Essentials plan).

On Behalf Marketing

All businesses on the SalonInteractive platform have the option for On Behalf Marketing - a powerful tool that helps market your favorite brands to your clients with minimal effort.

What are the benefits of On Behalf Marketing?


To get involved, ensure the permissions are turned on for On Behalf and clients have been uploaded to the account. From your dashboard, go to Client Connect and then choose On Behalf to check or change permissions.

If Client Connect has been activated for your account, you can engage with your business’s clients using Mass and Automated emails. You’ll see the features listed when you click Client Connect on your menu.

Upload Clients

As a Marketing Manager, you can add clients to the platform or manage existing ones - a vital step for marketing to your clients, as it allows your team to send Product Recommendations and your business to take advantage of email marketing.

From your dashboard, either click the Upload clients button in the Upload clients to your account tile or click Clients and choose Upload clients from your menu.

Promote Your Online Store

In addition to email marketing, there are many ways to promote your Online Store. Either click the Promote your store button on the dashboard tile or the Promote My Store link in your menu.

1. Copy your Online Store link to share it elsewhere (text, email, social, etc.).

You can also share your expertise by sending Product Recommendations to your clients from your dashboard. Either click Recommendations in your menu or the Send Product Recommendations tile to get started.

The products you suggest are placed into your client’s shopping cart, making it convenient for them to purchase when ready.

You can also grab the link to your salon or spa’s Online Store from your dashboard and share it with clients. Click the Copy link button and paste it into a text, email, or social media.

Benchmarks

Last, check out your weekly and monthly product revenue and more through your benchmarks. Click the View your benchmarks tile to take a look. Once you start making online sales, you’ll see data populate for product revenue and product revenue per client based on date, and monthly revenue.
