The SalonInteractive mobile app makes sending Product Recommendations to your clients from your mobile device easy. With the app, you can recommend products to your clients, bundle products for easier sharing, track your recommendation activity and ultimately earn more through your salon or spa’s Online Store.
App requirements
- Currently, the app supports running on any iOS device with iOS 12.0 or later or Android OS 10 on Google Pixel 4a or Galaxy S21
- Must have a SalonInteractive account or be a user on a salon or spa’s account
- Online Store must be active
Get Started
Download the SalonInteractive app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Open the app from your device and click Get started.
Sign in using your existing SalonInteractive account credentials.
Send a Product Recommendation from the app
From the app home screen, click the Send first Product Rec button.
If you have not done so yet, add your clients to your SalonInteractive account. From the app, you can add contacts from your device or add a new client manually. Once you send the new contact a Product Recommendation, they will be synced automatically to your SalonInteractive account.
Note: We understand how important your clients are and respect that your client list is yours and yours alone. Please know that your client list is safe on SalonInteractive web and mobile apps and is never shared with anyone.

If you already have clients in your SalonInteractive account, your client list will automatically be populated when you create a new Product Recommendation. You can find clients by filtering for them in the Search clients search bar or scrolling through the list. Simply click on the client to continue.
Note: The app's list includes clients you’ve uploaded to your SalonInteractive account. Any imported contacts from your device will appear in the same list and search.
NOTE: If you have connected your salon software to your SalonInteractive account, you may have a different experience that shows recent appointments and synced client data.
Once you’ve chosen a client, you can select the products you’d like to recommend using the product search field or by brand or saved bundles.
In this example, we’re searching by brand.
Once you’ve found and selected the products you want to send, click Save and exit to return to it later, or click Next to proceed with your recommendation.
Note: When you click Save and exit, the recommendation will save as a draft, which you’ll see on your home page, along with your other activity.
Next, review your recommendation. Make sure you have selected the correct client and products you wish to recommend. To delete a product, swipe left on the selected product and click the trash icon.
To return to this recommendation later, click Save and exit.
You can also save the products in the recommendation as a bundle before you move forward with your recommendation. When ready, click Send.

Choose whether to deliver your recommendation by SMS (text) or email.
Note: If your list only has a client’s email or mobile number (rather than both), the app will recognize which one is available and automatically prompt that delivery method. If you have both email addresses and mobile numbers, you can choose which way to send your Product Recommendation.
To send a text, click the send icon next to the text and link.
Note: If you are not already a contact on your client’s phone, they will need to save you as a contact; otherwise, the link in your text will not open.
For email, click Send now, and your email will automatically go out.
Congratulations! You’ve just sent a Product Recommendation from the SalonInteractive app. You can view the status on your app home page, where you’ll see draft and sent recommendations, as well as what your clients clicked and purchased from your Product Recs.
