Get started with your Online Store. It takes under 10 minutes to get set up and selling through your account with SalonInteractive.
You’ll want to have these things ready:
• Your salon logo (if you have one)
• A valid email address
• Your distributor account number
What is a distributor, and why do I need an account number?
If you don’t have a distributor account number or can’t find your existing one, contact your distributor to get that information before starting your Online Store setup. You can usually find your distributor account number on your shipping invoice or store receipts.
To sign up for your SalonInteractive account, go to saloninteractive.com and click the Get started button.
Fill out your business information and click Get Started at the bottom.
Note: You may see a window with a few additional questions. Answer the questions, then click Done.
In the next window, add your salon zip code on the new page to unlock which distributors are currently available in your area. Click Next.
Select a distributor and click Connect.
Enter your account number for that distributor and click Next.
You’ll see the brands available for that distributor on the next page.
A checkmark means that the brand is selected.
Once you have chosen the brands you want, click Next.
On the next page, you can select another distributor for salon ordering.
Otherwise, click Skip to stay with the one you already selected.
How do I enable salon ordering?
Set up emails to drive to your Online Store
Select the types of On Behalf campaigns you’d like clients to receive to help them shop your Online Store. These campaigns are designed to enhance the shopping experience for your clients and include automated emails featuring your favorite brands.
Campaign types:
Free shipping emails
Offers for free shipping on your Online Store.
Product discount emails
Discounts on products to boost Online Store sales.
Education emails
Useful info related to the brands you select.
Product sets emails
Bundled product offers and seasonal holiday gift set specials.
Service promotion emails
Promotions that encourage clients to book appointments for salon services your beauty biz offers.
NOTE: If you deselect all promotion types, it will turn off On Behalf Marketing.
Once you’ve made your choice(s), click Next.
While you can choose up to five brands to include in On Behalf emails, we highly recommend selecting up to three. Narrowing your selection gives you the power to stand behind the brands you suggest, ensuring your clients receive just the right amount of special offers without feeling overwhelmed.
To help you get started, we’ve selected three top-selling brands for you. However, you can choose any three to five brands you wish.
Once you’ve made your brand selection, click Next.
For each type of promotion that you selected, choose the brands you’d like to include.
Note: For service promotions, you’ll need to add your appointment booking link.
When done with your selection(s), click Next.
To add your booking link to the footer of your Online Store, copy and paste the link in the Appointment booking link field. This link will display as “Book an appointment” in the footer of your Online Store.
You can also link to your website, which will display as “Visit our website” in the footer of your Online Store. Copy and paste your website link in the Website link field. Click Next when done.
Now, let’s save your business address, upload a logo, and pick a link name.
Input your business address. This information will appear on your Online Store and in the footer of emails, so be sure it’s correct and complete.
If you have a salon logo, you can upload it here or add it later if you wish.
If uploading now, drag and drop your logo from your computer to this section or click Browse files to find it.
If you don’t have a logo, your business name will show on your Online Store in plain text.
Next, name your link. Your business name will auto-populate into this area and, if available, will indicate so here. Since it’s available, we’ll go ahead and click Save URL.
After you finish the customize portion of your Online Store set up, click Next.
Choose the plan that works best for your business:
- The Free plan includes an Online Store, Product Recommendations, brand marketing with On Behalf, and Salon Ordering.
- The Essentials plan includes everything in the Free plan, plus powerful email marketing tools to maximize the success of your Online Store and reach your clients anytime, anywhere.
If you choose the Essentials plan, you get Client Connect email marketing features.
The Essentials plan is based on the number of clients with email addresses you have on your client list. Use the dropdown to find and select the number of clients on your list.
Above the Start free trial button, you’ll see the corresponding monthly pricing that will take effect after your free 30-day trial ends. Remember that you can downgrade to the Free plan at any time.
Click Start free trial.
You also have the opportunity to level up your commissions rate by 5% with a Commissions Boost subscription. Click Add to plan to start earning more with every sale or No thanks to opt out.
For any paid plans, you’ll need to add your payment information.
Review the order summary and note your free trial end date.
Fill in the fields for your credit card number, expiration date, CVC, the country, and ZIP code for your credit card billing address. Click Subscribe when done.
Once your order is processed, you’ll see your dashboard with a banner at the top showing your subscription plan and reminding you about your free trial.
