Personalize the look of your Online Store with custom theming features.
The customize process will allow you to choose from several theme types, upload your logo, personalize your header images, text, and links, highlight brands, give your own flair to your store category images, and connect all of your business, booking, and social media links in the footer.
In this tutorial below, we will run through the entire Customize feature. However, you can access individual features here:

To get started, log into SalonInteractive. Then, from your menu, go to eCommerce, and Customize.
At this point, you can do one of four things, including managing your store theme, header, content, and footer.
Let's start with Theme.
Under Theme, you can upload and edit your logo and select a theme for your Online Store.
To upload your logo, either use the Click to Upload File link or drag and drop your .png or .jpg file to the upload area.
If possible, use a .png file with a transparent background with an image that is 100x100px to 400x400px.
NOTE: If you select the Midnight color theme, it's best to upload a white logo with a transparent background.
Once the logo is uploaded, you’ll see it displayed in this section.
If you view your Online Store, you’ll see it on your header and footer.
You also have the option to change the color palette of your Online Store with your choice of five distinct themes, including:
- Modern
- Elegance
- Color Blast
- Organic
- Midnight
To change the color palette of your Online Store from Modern, the default, select the theme you want in the dropdown, then click the Preview button in the blue banner at the top of your screen, and your store will open in a new tab. Take a look around, and if you like how the theme looks for your Online Store, exit preview mode and select Publish.
Next, you’ll see a pop-up asking if you are ready to update your Online Store with all the changes you’ve made. If you’re ready, click Publish, and if not, click Continue Editing.
However, if you don’t like how your selected theming looks, select Discard Changes. A pop-up will ask if you’re sure you want to discard all changes you have made since you last published. If you agree, click Discard Changes. Otherwise, select Continue Editing to try another theme.
If you change to another theme, you can just refresh your store preview.
Next, let's personalize your header. To get started, click Header.
You can organize your homepage's header section by displaying one, two, or three images. If you don’t select anything here, the default images will continue to populate.
Choose one of the three layouts - in this case, we’ll choose the three-image layout. Below your selection, you’ll see three images. Click on the first image, which will allow you to edit the image or the content. Let’s start with the content. Select Edit Content.
A sidebar will pop up where you can edit the Header and Subheader copy. If you’re not sure what to write here, see these helpful tips: What should I write for my Online Store’s header copy?
Do keep in mind that there is a character limit: the header is 32 characters with spaces, and the subheader is 100.
You can also add a link from the Shop Now button to anywhere on your Online Store. For example, you can link to a brand, product type or category, or a specific product.
Next, key in your desired copy, and then copy and paste the link you want to add, and click Review Changes.
In the blue banner at the top of your screen, you can select Preview, Publish, or Discard Changes. Preview your changes, and if happy with them, exit preview mode and click Publish.
Next, you can edit the image for your header by replacing it with a free photo from Unsplash, a stock image website. To do so, click Edit Image. In the search bar, enter a search term and select one of the images. It will automatically crop and center the image for you. Click Review Changes.
In the blue banner at the top of your screen, you can select Preview, Publish, or Discard Changes. Once you’ve previewed your image, either publish or discard your changes and start over.
Repeat the same process as desired for each section in your layout. You can edit all sections and then preview and publish after. You can just refresh your store preview to take a look.
Next, tailor the categories and brands you want to spotlight on your store.
Click Store Content. You’ll see the product categories available to you, such as hair, skin, and body care. If you do nothing in this section, the default images will continue to populate this section.
Otherwise, you can customize category images to reflect your store’s theme. To do so, click Edit Image in the category you want to edit. In the pop-up search bar, enter a search term and select one of the images. Click Review Changes.
In the blue banner at the top of your screen, you can select Preview, Publish, or Discard Changes. Once you’ve previewed your image, either publish or discard your changes and start over.
The products section is set for “most popular,” so your 8 most popular products will display on your homepage.
Next, you can select the brands you want to highlight. If you do nothing, up to three of the most popular brands on your Online Store will appear in this section. Otherwise, in the brands section, choose Custom Selection, then click the Choose Brands button.
In the pop-up, look for the brands you want to add using the search bar. Check off the brands you want to add, then click Add Brands. This will highlight the brands on your homepage and header navigation.
In the blue banner at the top of your screen, you can select Preview, Publish, or Discard Changes. Once you’ve previewed your brands, either publish or discard your changes and start over.
Next, let’s customize your Online Store footer, where you can choose to add your booking, website, and social media links to the bottom section of your Online Store.
To get started, click Footer.
Copy and paste your booking link into the Appointment Booking link field.
Copy and paste your website link into the Website link field.
In the adjacent fields, copy and paste your user name for each social media channel you want on your Online Store.
In the banner at the top of your screen, you can select Preview, Publish, or Discard Changes. Once you’ve previewed your footer information and are happy with it, click Publish.
The information you just added (or updated) will show in the footer section of your Online Store.
