What is a locked brand?
The reasons why certain brands may be locked and unavailable for online retail and how to address this issue.
When you set up your Online Store or decide to add more brands, you may come across locked brands.
There are a couple of reasons why a brand may be locked and, therefore, not available to you to retail online:
- An agreement between your distributor and the brands they carry may limit your ability to sell that brand online.
- A brand may require additional contracts in order to sell its products online. Those products are locked until the documents are signed and returned to your distributor.
To learn more about a locked brand, click Show Details and contact your distributor as suggested in the instructions. Note that each distributor may have a different process for handling contracts.
