Learn how to add, edit, and manage team members in your SalonInteractive account.
You may find the need to set up access to your SalonInteractive account for others for any number of reasons, including:
- Admin access for business partners
- Access for anyone doing your marketing
- And a basic user profile for your team of employees, which allows them to log in to SalonInteractive and adds them to your salon’s service provider list. That way, salon clients can choose their service provider when purchasing products. This step will help your salon track sales for any commissions to your staff.
Before getting started, you’ll want to have a list of your team members and their emails ready.
To add, edit, or deactivate any team member or change their permissions, log into SalonInteractive. In the upper right-hand side, click the profile icon and then select Team.
This step will bring up a list of active, inactive, and pending team member users.
To add a team member, click Add team member.
Enter the team member’s first and last name and unique email address. Next, select the role you wish to assign to them. If you do not select a role, the default is Stylist access. When done, click Send invite.
An invite is sent to the team member and you are taken to the Team page. Under the Pending tab, you’ll see the team member you just invited, with an option to remove them or invite again. If the team member accepts the invite, they are moved to the Active tab.
If you wish to invite another team member, click the Add team member button.
To edit an existing team member, click on their name in blue.
This action will bring up a separate page with their name and email address and options to edit their profile or photo.
To edit this team member’s profile information, click Edit profile.
Add or change the information as needed, and then click Save changes.
To add or update this team member’s photo, click Edit photo.
On the new page, select the upload icon.
Find the desired image*, select it, and click Open.
TIP: *It’s best to use a square image that is 100 to 400 pixels wide and saved as a jpg or png file.
You can rotate the image if needed, discard it, or upload another image. When done, click Back.
To change a team member’s user permissions, click on their role in blue.
On the next page, you can make them Admin or Marketing Manager. Click Save changes when finished.
To deactivate a team member, click Remove team member.
On the Team page, you’ll notice that they are now listed under Inactive.
