How do I set up On Behalf Marketing?

When you want to market to your clients but don’t have the time, On Behalf Marketing (OBM) is here to help.

Note: If you do not have an Online Store but want to set up service promotions through On Behalf Marketing, follow these instructions:

Set up On Behalf Marketing during Online Store Set up

If you haven't set up your Online Store yet, please do so. During the store setup, you’ll have the opportunity to set up On Behalf Marketing.

Otherwise, you can set up (or turn on/back on) On Behalf Marketing. Click On Behlaf Marketing in your SalonInteractive menu. 

Feel free to look around to learn more about the benefits of On Behalf Marketing. You can even swipe through some recent emails to see how they look. 


When ready to move forward, click Get started (or Set up On Behalf).

OBM Set up -01

Select the types of On Behalf Marketing emails you’d like clients to receive to help them shop your Online Store. These emails are designed to enhance the shopping experience for your clients and include automated emails featuring your favorite brands.

Email types:

Free shipping emails

Offers for free shipping on your Online Store.

Product discount emails

Discounts on products to boost Online Store sales.

Education emails

Useful info related to the brands you select.

Product sets emails

Bundled product offers and seasonal holiday gift set specials.

Service promotion emails

Promotions that encourage clients to book appointments for salon services your beauty business offers.

NOTE: If you deselect all promotion types, OnBehalf Marketing will be turned off.


Once you’ve made your email type choice(s), click
Next.

OBM Set up -02

Select the brands you want to include in On Behalf emails. We suggest selecting 3-5 brands.  Narrowing your selection gives you the power to stand behind the brands you suggest and ensures your clients receive just the right number of special offers without feeling overwhelmed.


Once you’ve made your brand selection, click Next.

Choose the brands you’d like to include for each type of promotion that you selected. Once you have made your selection(s), click Finalize.

For service promotions, you’ll need to add your online booking link.

Select the brand(s) you use to perform services in your business. When done, click Save.
