You can customize your On Behalf Marketing (OBM) at any time, including managing your brands and dictating what types of retail and service emails you’d like your clients to receive.
Take a look
From your SalonInteractive menu, click On Behalf Marketing. In this menu, you’ll find OBM Home to see everything in one place, Customize for managing your On Behalf Marketing settings, and Reporting to track the results of OBM.
To view everything in one place, click OBM Home. Here, you’ll see the brands that are turned on for On Behalf Marketing, recently sent emails, and other resources.
Customize On Behalf
Once you’ve set up On Behalf Marketing, you can customize it at any time. Decide what brands you’d like to offer your clients for each email type, and turn the emails on or off whenever you want.
Set up Email Types
To set up an email type, go to your SalonInteractive menu, click On Behalf Marketing and then Customize. In the next window, find the card for the email type you want to set up and click the Set up button.
Check the box to the right of each brand name you want to offer your clients for this email type. Then click Save.
A pop-up will let you know that this email type is now active.
Set up Service Promotions
Service promotions encourage clients to book an appointment for your services. Only select the brands you use in your business to perform services.
Note: If you do not have an Online Store but want to set up service promotions through On Behalf Marketing, follow these instructions: How do I set up service promotions without an Online Store?
The process for setting up a service promotion differs slightly from the other email types.
From your SalonInteractive menu, click On Behalf Marketing and then Customize. In the next window, find the card for service promotion and click the Set up button.
In the appointment booking link field, add your online booking link.
Select the brand(s) you’d like to associate with your service promotions and click Save when done.
A pop-up will let you know that service promotions are now active.
Edit Brands within an Email Type
From your SalonInteractive menu, click On Behalf Marketing and then Customize. Find the email type you want to edit and click the three dots to the right of its name. In the dropdown, choose Edit brand selection.
In the slide out, check the brand(s) you want to add or uncheck the one(s) you want to remove from this email type. Click Save.
Note the updated list of brands on the card for this email type.
Turn Off Email Type
If you’d rather not offer a specific email type, you can easily turn it off.
From your SalonInteractive menu, click On Behalf Marketing and then Customize. In the next window, find the card for the email type you’d like to turn off. Click the three dots next to the name of the email type, and select Turn off emails from the dropdown.
A pop-up will remind you that your clients will no longer receive this type of email and that you can set it up again in the future. If you still want to turn this email type off, click the Turn off (email type) emails button.
A pop-up will indicate that the email type is off.
Add Another Brand
From your SalonInteractive menu, click On Behalf Marketing and then Customize. In the next window, click the Add another brand button under your current brands.
In the slide out, find the Brand field and select another brand from the dropdown.
Select or deselect the email types you’d like to offer your clients for this brand. When done, click Save.
Service promotions encourage clients to book an appointment for your services. If you select a brand for service promotions, a pop-up will remind you to only select the brands you use in your business to perform services. If you do, click Turn on.
You’ll see a pop-up confirming the brand's connection to OBM, and a new card for the brand will be displayed at the bottom of the page.
Disconnect a Brand
If you decide to remove a brand from your On Behalf Marketing, follow the instructions below.
From your SalonInteractive menu, click On Behalf Marketing and then Customize. In the next window, locate the brand card. Click the three dots to the right of the brand name, and scroll down to Disconnect from On Behalf.A pop-up will remind you that this brand will no longer send On Behalf emails to your clients, including education and promotions. You can reconnect the brand at any time. If you still wish to disconnect this brand, click Disconnect.
You’ll see a pop-up confirming that the brand was disconnected.
Edit Email Header and Footer
To change any of the business information that shows up in the header or footer of your On Belahf Marketing emails, click the Update business info button and follow these instructions: How do I edit my business settings?
If you’d like to see how your current business information looks on your On Behalf Marketing emails, click the sample email link.
Turn Off On Behalf
If you’d like to turn off all On Behalf Marketing efforts, disconnect all email types or all brands. Just be aware that you will lose access to On Behalf reporting.
