How do I set up my SalonInteractive account as a Square user?

If you are a current Square user, and you’d like to add eCommerce and marketing features to your account, follow these easy instructions.

Fill out the signup form and click Get Started.

Click Connect Square.

Enter the email you used for your Square account, then click Next.

Enter your password and click Sign in.

Next, you’ll see a list of features that SalonInteractive will need access to in order to work seamlessly with your Square account. If you agree to allow access, click Allow.

What these app permissions mean:

Read my business and location information

→ SI can retrieve information about your Square account merchant and location IDs, which is used to identify your account when pulling appointment and order data.


Read my item library

→ SI reads the items on orders to determine if they are product sales or service sales.


Read my Square orders

→ SI records Square Orders to be able to offer a Client Connect filter based on the type of sale: Product versus Service.


Read my employee information

→ SI pulls your active team members into the app so you (as an Administrator) can invite them to have access to send Product Recommendations. The list allows your clients to give their service providers credit for online sales. With the team members in SI, we can associate Square Appointments for use in Product Recommendations and Client Connect campaigns.


Read my customer contact information

→ SI builds a secure list of your clients so Square Orders and Appointments can be associated to them. This pre-built client list means no manual upload for you when using Client Connect and On Behalf Marketing campaigns and sending Product Recommendations.


Write customer contact information

→ SI creates new clients in Square if they don’t already exist in Square. When a client is manually added to SI (in the App or via an eCommerce sale), SI checks if the customer exists in Square, if not, SI creates it in Square. SI does not perform any updates to the customer after the initial creation, as Square is to be used as the source of record on data such as customer profile information.


Read my appointment information

→ SI pulls your Square Appointment data to enable the functionality for Product Recommendations and Client Connect campaigns.


Read my online site information

→ SI reads your Square Site data so your booking link is in your Online Store footer (coming soon).

It will take a moment for the linking process between your accounts to complete.
